"Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trails its wreath;
And 'tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.
The periwinkle trails its wreath;
And 'tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.
The birds around me hopped and played,
Their thoughts I cannot measure;
But the least motion which they made,
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.
Their thoughts I cannot measure;
But the least motion which they made,
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.
The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can
That there was pleasure there.
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can
That there was pleasure there.
If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?"
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?"
- William Wordsworth, Lines Written in Early Spring
I peeked outside my window
When I heard a robin sing
His chrip was a sure sign
Of the coming of the Spring.
The color of the goldfinch
Was as yellow as could be
When I stepped outside my house
He sang a song to me.
The redpoles were a peeping
As if to say "It's here!"
Lets put away our shovels
'Cause Spring is finally near.
I looked up in the blue sky
To thank the Lord above
Then below I heard the cooing
Of the gorgeous morning dove.

I have welcomed spring with wide-open arms this year. I hope you're enjoying it too!
(or will soon, for those of you farther north)
Along with Spring comes Spring Break!! Some of you have already had yours, but mine starts tomorrow at noon. I have great plans this time, and hopefully will do a few things that are blog-worthy!
This weekend, at least, I'll be away from the blog, doing big things. I'm nervous but extremely excited. This could just possibly herald the start of many many changes.... and I pray for guidance in my decisions.
